Types of courses

Do you want to climb multi-pitch routes and acquire a solid foundation for this practice?

This course will allow you to learn the rope techniques and to understand the equipment necessary for multi-pitch sport climbing. Risk management and other specifics related to the field will also be addressed.

Course content
• During the first day: discovery of multi pitch climbing with a presentation of the general principles, equipment and rope techniques necessary for multi pitch climbing on real rocks. Apply the techniques and learn how to abseil down.
• During the second day: deepening your understanding and discover additional techniques necessary in case of problems or useful for the management of long climbs. Repetition of learned skills and application of the new knowledge acquired.

Two days outdoors
Prerequisites
Completion of Basic Course 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Program and course locations
The sites planned for the cliff climbing days are communicated by telephone 2 days before the course. In case of unfavorable weather, the cliff days can take place in one of our climbing gyms.
Inscriptions
Registration can be made on our climbing site no later than 1 day before the course.

Cancellation

It is your responsibility to arrive at the climbing site. Carpooling is organised whenever possible.

Climbing equipment can be rented free of charge at our Grimper.ch climbing gyms (Attention: prior reservation with our secretary).

Clothing:
• Softshell or fleece jacket
• Climbing pants, t-shirt and sweatshirt
• Light rain jacket, possibly rain trousers

Others:
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen, lip cream, head covering
• Water bottle or other drink
• Flashlight (headlamp)
• Trekking shoes for the approach
• Backpack (30-40L)

• 3 screwgate carabiners
